IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTERING

All registrations can be done with one submission. After filling the information and selecting a tour for one registrant, click 'Add Another Registrant'. From there, the information for each registrant will be added in an accordion style. Once all registrants have been entered then you can check out at the bottom by filling out the billing information. 

HOTELS  - Hotel information is located at the top under 'Lodging and Hotel'.  You are responsible for booking and paying for your own accommodations.

TOURS - All Tours are OPTIONAL and are on Monday, March 17th beginning in the morning (various times between 7:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) so if you plan on participating in tours, please plan to arrive in Sheridan by Sunday evening.  All tours include a voucher for lunch at one of several downtown Sheridan restaurants.   You will sign up under each person for a tour below. 

JUDGES NEEDED - if you are interested in judging a contest please fill out this FORM.  The is no fee for a judge to attend the event on the day they are judging.

    Established in 1943 by Homer and Mildred Scott, the historic Padlock Ranch has become an icon of western ranching. Homer’s vision was for the Padlock Ranch to be the “best”, and that is what the Scott Family has worked towards for generations. This family-owned business has defined sustainability through its five elements of purpose. Dr. Trey Patterson, CEO, will discuss those 5 elements, the cowboy code of the west and what it is like to ranch in Wyoming and Montana. This tour includes LUNCH. 9:15 a.m. leave time from Golden Dome, return time of 12:30 p.m.

    Kennon Products, Inc. is an innovative manufacturing and engineering aerospace, 100% employee-owned company! Manufacturing covers for military and civilian aircrafts. Since their start in 1984 they have expanded to designing and manufacturing soft-sided suicide prevention doors for mental and behavioral health hospitals. The high-tech facility in Sheridan Wyoming manufactures all these products and more! This tour includes LUNCH. Leave time 8:30 a.m. from Golden Dome, return time of 11:30 a.m.

    Tour 3 - Fish and Fire Tour

    The Story Fish Hatchery, operated by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, houses 5 different broodstocks of fish for egg production and distribution. The facility ships over 5 million eggs a year to in-state hatcheries as well as across the country to both state and federal fish hatcheries. The hatchery houses the only genetically pure captive golden trout broodstock in the country. It is located in the scenic ponderosa pine forest at the base of the Bighorn Mountains, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to observe fish and local wildlife.
    The National Forestry Service will visit with you about all things wildfire! Sheridan county experienced a 98,000 plus acre wildfire in October of 2024. The Bighorn Mountains lit up the skies for several weeks, learn about what happens at the command center. The how decisions are made, why those decisions, the pros and cons of wildfire, and the rebuilding of habitat after a wildfire. This tour includes LUNCH. Leave time of 10:35 a.m. from Golden Dome, return time of 1:50 p.m.

    Bauer land and Livestock is a family operation that owns both sheep and cattle. Come learn how range sheep are raised and managed in Wyoming! You will also learn how crucial their Peruvian herders are to them as they herd the sheep up in mountain pastures during the summer.
    The Wool Mill is a family-operated mill dedicated to supporting local ranchers and raising awareness about ranching culture across the American West. It is the largest full-service mill in the West offering custom processing, custom blending & spinning, as well as 23 different types of yarn and many other products from apparel to home goods.     The Wool Mill is a family-operated mill dedicated to supporting local ranchers and raising awareness about ranching culture across the American West. It is the largest full-service mill in the West offering custom processing, custom blending & spinning, as well as 23 different types of yarn and many other products from apparel to home goods.
    The Little Ranch Co was started over 100 years ago the banks of Clear Creek. Phil, Glory and their grandson’s Kellen and Sheridan raise quality fiber from Rambouillet sheep in Northern WY. Come and learn how they raise sheep in the west and possibly partake in some sheep sheering! This tour includes LUNCH. Leave time of 7:45 a.m. from Golden Dome, return time of 12:50 p.m.

    Tour 6 - Navajo Energy Reclamation and Coal Mine

    Navajo Transitional Energy Company promotes the development of Navajo Nation's resources and new sources of energy, power, and transmission. They are committed to the development of the economic, financial, social and cultural well-being of the Navajo People and the Navajo Nation. They are committed to protecting the land through reclamation after it has been mined. Students will learn about reclamation and get to tour the coal mine. This tour includes LUNCH. Leave time of 7:45 a.m. from Golden Dome, return time of 12:00 p.m.

  • Tour 7 - Piney Island Native Plants

    Tour 7 - Piney Island Native Plants

    ONSITE AT SHERIDAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE
    Piney Island Native Plants, LLC is a greenhouse and nursery producing locally-sourced, locally-adapted, containerized native plants for restoration, reclamation, and conservation focused projects. They are passionate about preserving native plant biodiversity, providing habitat for important pollinators and wildlife. Come get your hands dirty as you learn about their very large Willow Restoration project in the Bighorn Mountains. You will be welcome to assist with the preparation of the willows during this tour. This tour includes a voucher to get lunch in downtown Sheridan. These are walking tours on the Sheridan College campus. Tour Option #1 leaves at 8:45 a.m. and returns at 10:00 a.m. Tour Option #2 leaves at 10:45 a.m. and returns at 12:00 p.m.
